It is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for controlling high cholesterol levels and preventing heart disease. It belongs to a class of drugs known as H2blockers. It helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults who have heart disease. It helps reduce the risk of stroke in adults who have not been told that they need to have a stroke or heart attack before speaking with a healthcare provider.
Take as directed by your doctor. It is taken at least 1-3 hours before expected activity in the blood. However, it can take that in 4-7 hours.
Your doctor will probably start you on a dose and will usually switch you to a lower dose if you start to feel better early in the day. However, you can also take it with a meal or a alcohol-based meal when you take it.
Crestor may take one tablet (2 x 20 mg) twice a day for 1 day. The dosage is based on your age, medical condition, and response to treatment. You should inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking as possible to avoid interactions.
Crestor is primarily used for cholesterol-related blood vessel disorders in adults to lower high-sensitivity LDL (triglycidol) levels.
Rosuvastatin is also prescribed for reducing the risk of strokes in adults with at least one inherited eye disease and for patients with a family history of at least two eye diseases or a history of atrial fibrillation.

Some people may experience side effects with this medication. Most of these side effects are temporary, do not lasting or disappear after a few days.
In rare cases, Crestor may cause serious adverse reactions that can be serious, including an increased risk of blood clots, an irregular heartbeat, fainting, fever, easy bruising or skin rash. If you notice any of these serious adverse reactions, stop taking this medication and call your doctor at once.
Allergic reactions are rare, but if you have an allergic reaction, or a known liver or kidney disease, you should avoid taking Crestor and will.
Side effects can include your risk of heart attack or stroke, you need to take a close-term action on cholesterol levels, and your cholesterol may need to be re-establish after abrupt stopping of a medication. Most people do not experience any adverse side effects. You can stop taking Crestor entirely with a little help from your doctor if you get any side effects.

Crestor (rosuvastatin) is sometimes prescribed to patients taking other medications, especially prescription, non-prescription, or herbal products. These other medications may affect the medication used to treat Crestor (rosuvastatin). You should not take this medication if you are also taking another lipid-lowering drug, most recently used lipid-lowering medication, anticoagulant or blood pressure medication, estrogen medication, diuretic or supplements, or a family of lipid-lowering medications. You should not use this medication if you are having surgery.
Other Crestor (rosuvastatin) medications may interact with Crestor (rosuvastatin) such as certain medications for high blood pressure or certain types of prostate cancer medication.
You should wait at least 4 weeks after you place your order for Crestor (rosuvastatin) to see a positive response in your liver function tests. There are limited data on the effect of Crestor (rosuvastatin) on achHTG (see paragraph 4). You should let your doctor know if you are taking any of these medications as they have not stopped your Rosuvastatin (corticosteroids) from working for at least 2 weeks.
Crestor (rosuvastatin) should not be used in patients with a history of heart, liver, or kidney problems. Your doctor or pharmacist will not recommend this medication if you are taking other lipid-lowering medications, having a history of heart attack, is pregnant or may become pregnant or if you are breast-feeding or if you are taking any of your medications. Crestor (rosuvastatin) should not be used in combination with any of the following medications: warfarin, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or with other statins such as low-density lipoprotein (LDL)cosmetics.
Older patients (such as 65 years or older or older)
This medication may cause a slight decline in kidney function. If you have been taking rosuvastatin for a long time, you may not be able to get this medication. Tell your doctor if you are having any change in these or any of the following symptoms.
It may be possible for you to experience swelling or pain when you start taking this medication. Do not urinate, have frequent urination, or re-occurr if you become upstart.
The most common side effects are headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, breast pain, or fluid retention.
Crestor works by reducing the amount of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) in the blood, which helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL) in the body. This may help to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise good cholesterol (hcg) levels. Lowering LDL cholesterol may also help to lower triglyceride levels in the blood. If your cholesterol levels do not drop too low, you may need cholesterol-lowering drugs.
Crestor comes as a tablet or capsule to take by mouth. The recommended starting dose is 50 mg once a day, taken 2 or 3 times per day. A doctor will determine the exact cause of your low bad cholesterol if you have any history of your symptoms. You should not take more than one dose in a 24-hour period, and you should not take Crestor more than once a day. Your doctor will decide the best dose for you and your condition.
